Free WYSIWYG Editors

WYSIWYG is an acronym for what-you-see-is-what-you-get. Basically these editors are like Microsoft Word--you can edit the fonts, imbed graphics.  What we recommend doing is formatting a page in a HTML Authoring program, then select "View source."  The resulting screen will be good HTML code.  Copy and paste that HTML code from the "view source" page into your blog entry or profile for easy formatting.  Just remember when you insert images or sounds, please use the absolute URL.  Otherwise, you may see broken images and sounds on your page.

Here are some free WYSIWYG editors:

  • Mozilla Suite - download the Mozilla suite, which comes with an easy to use HTML authoring program.

  • Trellian WebPage - easy formating, drag and drop.
